Lipstick Bourjois

Lipstick, the best-selling beauty product

According to several studies, more than 900 million lipsticks are sold worldwide each year, and this figure increases in times of crisis. Why? It seems that this small stick gives optimism and energy to whoever uses it, which is why thousands of women turn to it for help in their darkest moments.

A lipstick shade for every skin type

Choosing a good lipstick shouldn't just be based on each woman's personal taste; depending on our skin tone , we must consider which lipstick colors will suit us more or less.

• Fair Skin . Fair skin tones are best suited to light shades, such as pastel pinks, oranges, and coral tones; however, the more daring can also opt for fuchsia lipsticks, as they provide an incredible touch of tenderness and femininity.
• Medium skin tones . This is the most versatile skin tone when it comes to choosing lipstick. Browns, burgundies, nudes, oranges, and reds are ideal for them. However, they should avoid very dark brown shades, as these could make their features appear harsh.
• Dark Skin . This skin type also accommodates a wide variety of lipstick colors. Both dark and light shades will flatter your smile, but you should avoid mauve tones, as the contrast could make your face look dull.

There is also a wide variety of finishes and wear times available for lipsticks. From metallic and glossy finishes that add fullness and juiciness to the lips, to completely matte finishes, ideal for creating a perfectly defined and sculpted effect.

For some years now, due to the hectic pace of life in society and to avoid the need for touch-ups, long-lasting lipsticks have been on the market, offering even more than 12 hours of perfection without the risk of wear, stains or the need for touch-ups.

How to apply lipstick correctly?

Lipsticks can often become the star of our makeup and even an important accessory to our outfit, or conversely, if applied incorrectly, they can ruin even the most striking and elaborate look. Therefore, below we offer some tips and recommendations for applying them correctly and achieving a flawless smile:

• Initially, before applying lipstick, we must prepare the face by cleansing and toning it with specific products for this purpose.
• Once the cleansing process is complete, it's time to apply a lip primer . This will make the skin in the area smooth and even, making it easier to apply the lipstick .
• To better define the contour of the lips and then be able to color them more easily, it is recommended to outline them with a fine line; this gesture will also help us to create optical effects of greater or lesser lip volume.
• Now, the crucial moment has arrived. We must choose the lipstick we're going to use and apply it evenly to the skin of the lips outlined by the lip liner, starting from the center of the mouth and extending outwards. For greater precision, we can use a lip brush .
• Finally, use a tissue to dry your lips and remove any excess product. The easiest way is to kiss the tissue; this will help the lipstick last longer.
